A Catch 22 where you can actually win!

The NBR New Zealand Opera has declared war on empty seats in its performances with the implementation of Catch $22.

Catch $22 allows everybody to purchase tickets from 10am on the day of the performance for just $22 each. But there's a catch: the tickets are for the best of the Worst seats in the house, and the tickets must be purchased in person from the venue box office.

A limited number of Catch $22 tickets will be available for each performance of The NBR New Zealand Opera's Genesis Energy season of Eugene Onegin, opening on Thursday 17 September in Auckland and Saturday 10 October in Wellington. The Genesis Energy season of Eugene Onegin is a musical, visual and dramatic feast - all for just $22 with Catch $22.

Early opera resembled the atmosphere of a race course - chatting, food, laughter and loud comments were the norm.

During all our opera performances an English translation of the libretto is projected on screens above the stage, so you can easily follow the story.

If you are 25 years old or under you can purchase $25 tickets at the venue box office before any performance.
